A Softer Take on Fall: Green Pumpkins, Natural Florals & Warm Candlelight

We love fall, but we’re not always in the mood for the expected orange-and-black version of it.

What we do love is a quieter, more natural approach—pieces that feel collected, textured, and a little unexpected. This season we’ve pulled together a group of indoor florals and accents that do exactly that: green pumpkins, red gourds, pinecone sprays, maple leaves, sand-colored magnolias, and those beautiful deep-purple weather berry stems.

Everything is meant for indoors, and the palette stays soft and sophisticated—greens, muted reds, warm sand, and rich berry tones instead of bright orange.

How We’re Styling It

Start with the green pumpkins and red gourds as the grounding pieces. They’re substantial enough to hold a table or console but still feel fresh and a little different.

Layer in the pinecone sprays and maple leaves for texture and that unmistakable autumn feeling. Then add the softer florals: the sand-colored magnolias for a calm, creamy note and the weather berry stems for a deep purple pop that keeps everything from feeling too neutral.

The real magic happens when you add light.

We’ve been pairing this whole collection with our Radiance LED candles. They give that soft, flickering glow without the worry of real flames—perfect for longer evenings or when you want the look of candlelight on a dining table or sideboard.

Or go a little more elevated with our new brass-look candlestick sets from Kalalou. The warm metallic finish plays beautifully against the natural greens, reds, and berries and instantly makes the arrangement feel intentional and polished.

Why This Works

This approach keeps the season present without shouting it. The green pumpkins and natural florals feel current and collected, the pinecones and maple leaves bring in just enough traditional fall texture, and the candlelight (whether LED or brass candlesticks) adds the cozy factor everyone wants this time of year.

It’s the kind of look that works on a dining table, a console, a coffee table, or even a kitchen island—and it transitions easily from early fall into the holidays without needing a complete overhaul.

Come play with the pieces in the shop. We’ll help you build a few different arrangements so you can see how the green pumpkins, berries, magnolias, and candlelight all work together. It’s a much softer (and, in our opinion, prettier) way to bring fall inside.

Which combination are you most drawn to—the green pumpkins with the weather berries, or the full layered look with the brass candlesticks? We’d love to help you put it together.
